Understanding Shared Maintenance Notices
From time to time, KnownHost performs balance migrations to ensure optimal performance and stability across our shared hosting environment. This involves moving select accounts to less crowded servers.
If you’ve received a notice, your account is scheduled for one of these migrations.
What You Need to Know:
- No downtime: During the migration, cPanel will proxy traffic between servers to ensure uninterrupted access.
- Post-migration action: After the migration, you’ll need to update your domain’s nameservers to point to the new server if you’re not already using our nameservers.
- Assistance available: You can update them yourself or provide us access, and we’ll handle it for you.
Using Cloudflare?
If your domain is using Cloudflare, you won’t update nameservers — instead, you’ll need to update your domain’s A record to point to the new server IP we provide.
You can follow Cloudflare’s official guide to edit your DNS records here.
