The primary IPv4 address for your unmanaged VPS is provided via DHCP (it is a statically assigned address, however). We use DHCP for the primary address to make it easier to get up and running and/or troubleshoot networking issues inside of your VM.

IPv6 and additional IPs you purchase must be added manually and the process to do this will vary depending on your operating system version. We’ve compiled instructions on how to add IPs for the most common Linux distributions in a separate article.

DDoS Protected IPs

We give you DDoS protected IPs for free. We offer protection for attacks up to and exceeding 500 Gbps and/or 700 million PPS.
