For customers who prefer manage their own server we offer an assortment of self-managed VPS hosting packages. Support on these packages is limited to ensuring network connectivity and console access to the server. Beyond that, system configuration, optimization, security, and maintaining backups of your data is your responsibility.
We offer three unmanaged cloud KVM packages built on top of our OpenStack cloud backed by Ceph storage with triple data replication on pure enterprise SSDs.
|RAM||2 GB||4 GB||8 GB|
|Storage||25 GB||50 GB||100 GB|
|Bandwidth||2 TB||4 TB||5 TB|
|Disk IOPS (read)||2000||4000||8000|
|Disk IOPS (write)||1000||2000||4000|
|Disk Bandwidth||200 MB/s||300 MB/s||400 MB/s|
|DDoS Protected IP||$3|
By default outbound port 25 is blocked on all unmanaged VPSs when provisioned. You can allow traffic out on port 25 (SMTP) through a button in your MyKnownHost portal when managing the service then under the "Server Actions" tab.
The primary IPv4 address for your unmanaged VPS is provided via DHCP (it is a statically assigned address, however). We use DHCP for the primary address to make it easier to get up and running and/or troubleshoot networking issues inside of your VM.
IPv6 and additional IPs you purchase must be added manually and the process to do this will vary depending on your operating system version. We've compiled instructions on how to add IPs for the most common Linux distributions in a separate article.
We sell DDoS protected IPs for $3/mo each. These IPs are permanently routed through our DDoS filtering system but filtering is only activated if an attack is detected. We offer protection for attacks up to and exceeding 500 Gbps and/or 700 million PPS all the way up through layer 7.
These IPs do not support SNI when layer 7 filtering is activated (only during attacks).
