If you're going for a paid solution, you can expect to pay $3500 and upwards for an ERP solution with hosting. However, there are a good number of open source ERP solutions which can help you get started with ERP as a way of improving organizational effectiveness. Keep in mind that with some paid solutions there are per seat fees, license fees, implementation fees, and a host of other costs that can quickly inflate your amount spent.
Generally speaking, ERP uptake climbs rapidly as company size grows. Bigger companies, on a percentage basis, use ERP software more frequently than smaller companies, often due to cost and lack of expertise in implementing. As you grow, you'll find more efficiencies by seeking out ERP hosting.
Our basic ERP hosting is hosted on a cloud architecture so that we can provide failover / disaster recovery, easily administered backups, redundant systems, high-speed parallel architecture, and a dozen other technical reasons that make the system more robust, easily managed and faster. Cloud-based solutions are attractive for many reasons. For some companies, a traditional dedicated server solution might make more sense, when they want 100% control of the hardware, no other accounts being hosted on the same hardware/network segment... often due to security, compliance or choice of application requirements.
The basic plans offered here are great for small companies or those starting out. As your number of staff grows, database grows, or demands on the system increase, the next logical step is our Reseller Plans (which include more hardware resources being made available). As you continue to grow, we'd next move you up to a VPS system, and then eventually a dedicated server. Note that this doesn't happen overnight - unless your company goes from SMB to major enterprise overnight. Most small to medium sized businesses can do just fine running an ERP on our basic plans or Reseller Cloud plans - all of which are inexpensive and fully managed.
