One site WordPress causing excessive process

I need some help with one site on my VPS.

The is site running excessive processes and ends up crashing mysql taking down all the other sites on the server with it.

Here's a list of what I have done to try and fix but nothing is working.
- scanned for malware and it came up clean
- renamed wp-admin and wp-login.php
- disable wp-cron and use cPanel cron instead
- add to .htaccess to block automated bots from using the login and comment forms
- installed Wordfence and put it on lock down
- disabled all plugins and activated one by one to see if it was a plugin
- changed themes
- checked the logs and it looks like an attack but I'm not sure

Why only this one site on going. It doesn't make sense when there's almost 200 sites. I'm missing something.

I am willing to hire a developer.

Have you opened a ticket with support department to check the root cause?

This has been an ongoing problem with more than a few tickets. They said it's coming from within the site and told me that I need to find a developer.

finding a developer is really an awful task. i think you have to try to search on the net first on how to fix the issue and if questions still left unanswered, then a developer is the only person who will solve the problem.

Add extra signatures:
https://malware.expert/signatures/
https://www.securiteinfo.com/

Grep Apache access log and find unknow POST: grep "POST" *.log

Also look apache error.log, if there php warnings/errors.
