Hello

I'm currently running mySQL 5.5.36. I have a need for some of the features of 5.6.

Is anyone running version 5.6.x?

Any issues with upgrading from 5.5 to 5.6?

I run WordPress sites - any issues with 5.6 there?

Thanks!

I've not heard of any issues updating to 5.6 and it's now in our new VPS template for all new deployments and has been for several weeks now. There's a few config variables that change so if it won't start after the update just open a ticket and we'll fix this for you.

I just ran this update and as @KH-Jonathan said I had had trouble restarting the service.

I did submit a ticket but continued digging myself and discovered that it was due to a deprecated variable in the file /etc/my.cnf.

table_cache needed to be changed to table_open_cache then it came right up.
