Hi,

I'm just curious. On KH's company page it says that your located in Royal Oak, MD but colo4dallas is in texas. So when a HD dies, how do you guys get there to fix it?

KH - Would you care to share how you are able to address server emergencies within minutes when you are well over 1000 miles away?

Thanks

Hello,

Yes, we are on the East Coast and we have servers in Texas and California. The key thing is we OWN our hardware and we have spare servers, memory, drives, etc in our cabinet(s) and we Partnered with an actual Colocation facility. We aren't in some DC like Softlayer or TP or Layeredtech where they specialize in dedicated servers. That is not what Colo4dallas is. Part of colocation service is remote hands by experienced tech's which we trust as one of our own employees. We have taken servers offline for maintenance so we have already dealt with such occurences. Colo4dallas is a top notch facility we selected from several years of experience in the hosting industry. We aren't new to this by any stretch of the imagination. This is why our service is pretty tough to beat from the minute you signup till the time you begin opening tickets. Hope this clears things up.

and such diligence shows in the quality of service you provide.

So basically when you colocate you have remote hands so if hardware in a server goes bad than the techs replace it for you? And I'm sure at an additional charge?

Thanks for the explanation :)

Yes, if you colocate you should get remote hands. Now the trick is to make sure you get it at the right place with a good network and people you trust. If something would go bad we would react accordingly which would mean move customers from the troubled server and take the bad one offline to troubleshoot.
