New customer here, still awaiting delivery, but its Sunday so, thats how it goes.

I was curious though, Why would someone buy add-ons vs upgrading an account?

Its $10 or $15 for an add on and unless you are at VPS 7 it seems the best option is to just upgrade the account and get all the other benefits that come with it....

The majority of customers just upgrade to the next plan. I think there are a few instances where it can make more sense to use a-la-carte upgrades especially for licensing costs that are based on RAM like Litespeed would also add to a full upgrade cost, though.
