What hardware do your vps' run on?

Hi,

I've heard that KH runs on Opterons (yay!) and 8GB of ram. But a user also said that the hard drives are only SataII. Is this correct? I've read reports where Sata drives will often bust long before scsi and was just wondering if I run the risk of having my sites offline in case one of the drives goes down..

Yes, we use the same but we also have Dual Core Dual Opterons. It is all relative though as we don't load servers all the same.

Also, we do use Sata II. Keep in mind we use RAID 10 so if a drive goes down we have 2 not being used inside the machine itself (4 total). As for data, we do backup's to external servers so your data is safe. Hope this helps.
