VPS with Fantastico

Hi,

I am looking at taking up a new VPS and was wondering if I should also take on Fantastico (only $1 per month I know). I have used Joomla on a number of sites (native installs) and have in the past experienced major issues in the setting of file and directory premissions.

I have never installed Joomla with Fantastico before, so can can you please tell me if this improves the installation experience by setting all the correct permissions or if I still need to do that myself.

Hello,

Fantastico takes care of permission settings and will allow you to setup Joomla with a click or two. Most clients use it so worse case you can remove it if you don't like it. Hope this helps.

Thanks Joel for you very quick response. One last question - will Fantastico install the latest version 1.5x or will it be 1.0x?
