I have a cpanel vps, with Knownhost, when I upload files I only get about 30KB/s. I also have vps with other companies on which I get at least 500KB/s.

Knownhost support say everything is set up OK.

Has anyone else had this problem ?

Thanks in advance for any info.

I had some good support from Knownhost, which suggests it is my ISP.

You can test your ISP's speed using speedtest.net
You can compare your website's download speed using http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/
But as for testing your website's upload speed I'm not aware of any 3rd party online programs that'll do it, IMHO I think you'll need to just try it at different locations to compare it to your connection.
To answer your OP question, no I've not had that problem.

My speedtest.net tests very fast, I have fiber optic connection.

I uploaded some files to Knownhost vps took nearly 2 hours another vps similar file upload took a few minutes.

Let's see a screen shot of a tracert and see if it shows us where the delay is.
Open a command prompt, type tracert yourdomain.com and hit enter. (Assuming your on windows)
