Upgrade from vps to ssd vps

I'm considering upgrading one of my vps-2 to ssd-2 due very small price difference and slightly powerful features. Has anybody done similar upgrade recently? I know SSD is faster, but not sure how much and if its worth upgrading..

If your site is heavy in SQL or just general file accesses (lots of images, etc) you should notice an increase in speed.
 
Hi Jonathan, well, I think image use is more-less normal, but I have some SQL heavy sites.

Can this upgrade be made easy way? with minimum downtime etc? I use WHM/cPanel
