spamd using alot of ram

I have recently set up my server and I am already at 90% ram, it appears most of it is being eaten up by spamd and child process. Is there something that I can do to stop this?

I guess another question is if I am not setting up and local email accounts and only forwarding email to other accounts do I need spamassasin running? If its really not doing alot for me I will just disable it.
 
well I disabled spamassasin since I realized it wasn't even turned on, it got me down to a green again in cpanel for ram, still high on ram usage though.
If anyone knows any basic tweaks I could use feel free to throw some my way. I am fairly new when it comes to managing a linux server, although I've learned alot in just the couple days I've had a VPS, LOL
