Spam from my account?

Hi all,

I'm getting a lot of spam email ostensibly from an email address I had (but deleted) from my account. Though I don't like to click on this stuff, I had a look at the header info, and it cites host.mysite.com and my IP address as the source.

I don't know anything about this stuff. Should I be worried, and is there anything I can do about this? Is this spam actually coming from my account, or is the information just being faked?

Hello Aarem,

If you deleted the email address then it should be gone. My guess is that the spammer already spidered the address or something so had it in their database.

Now about the header, are you sure you're reading it correctly? The addresses at the top are the most recent meaning your server (receiving it) should be last and the IP it was sent from should be first.
