SEO - 301 redirects - Link Juice - and Wordpress

Hello,
I have two sites (wordpress) which I'm combining into one site on a different domain. My main account domain.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to transfer all posts from each site to the new one and maintain SEO rankings as best as possible and pass that onto the new domain. I now a little about 301 redirects and understand I'll need to setup a 301 for each article on the old domains and match them to the URL on the new domain. I'm just not sure what the best way to do it is.

Should I just set a disallow on the new domain first, move every posts one by one manually? And then do I setup 301 redirects for those posts in the .htaccess file or http.config file(?). What's the format of the 301 file?

I realize another option would be to export the posts either via wordpress dashboard or MySQL, but think moving the posts one by one (although it will take forever) will allow me to manually update links in the posts, insert new images, etc.

Any practical suggests, links, or experience would be appreciated. Thanks.
