    Hello everyone,

Is anyone else seeing this in their daily upcp email and does anyone know how to fix it?

    Thanks!

    Hi Dan,

Just ignore this line - it is not possible to change system time from inside the VPS

    Regards,
    Paul

    Hello Paul,

That is rather interesting. I was able to have this line execute with on my previous VPS and I am also able to run it in SSH just fine.

What does this mean for the system time then? That I am stuck with CST rather than PST or what?

    Thanks,

    Dan

    Dan,

You can change timezone with no problems inside your VPS. What you can't do is to change system time - i.e. change it from 11:51am to 11:20am. System time is a global parameter which affects physical server and all VPSs running on the machine. You shouldn't really worry about time being incorrect as we sync time with atomic clocks on all our servers.

    Paul

    Hello Paul,

Well I must say that is MUCH better than relying on CPanel's clock! :D

    Thanks!
