Resolver Config ip address initial setup

I am new to VPS and not a reseller. I am reviewing my notes and during the initial first time setup, step 5, Resolver Config, I think I may have change the primary resolver and secondary resolver #'s to my main and secondary ip #'s.
Can someone confirm if this is an error on my part and if so, how to check, correct or point me to a tutorial?
Any assistance is most greatly appreciated.

Your initial defaults may be different depending on which DC your VPS is located at. See this thread.
