phpMyAdmin alternatives?

I was wondering if it was either possible to use a phpMyAdmin alternative or suggest to you all to offer one? I've found at least one flash based phpMyAdmin database management software that is quite impressive even if only for the fact that it allows inline editing without the page refreshes. I know it is possible to install things on my vps but this is more of a root-based install so I thought I would ask here :) TIA
 
Not a root based program. but

I also use mysqldumper.
It's made for importing and dumping large databases and also has email and ftp solutions in it.. Not to mention the sql editor.
