Dumb question of the day here!!
However, do cpanel vps accounts come out of the box so to speak and ready to go? Ie: mailservers ready, dns, nameservers etc or do I need to set each of those up?
So far, I`ve followed the tweaks here

Had BFD, APF and eaccelorator installed when the vps was ordered. I`ve also disabled root ssh login, changed the ssh port number.
I created a reseller account where the majority of my accounts will be placed.
Anything else I`ve missed ?
I don`t want to migrate anything over and get the sites running live if I`ve missed a glaring config or something.
