Need Help

My web admin passed away and I want to create a new user account for someone else to administer my website.

I just got my user name and log on, but I think there is a control panel or something I need to downlaod. Also when I try downloading the SW listed it is asking for a password.

Can anyone help me, or walk me through what I need to do next. I am not a Linux user at all.

What is the control panel used by you? CPanel? DirectAdmin? Kloxo (vps unmanaged)?
