This is a Joomla! site I just started working on and it seems to me it takes forever to load. Unless I've missed or otherwise munged php.ini, I'm at a loss because I've got 512/1024 for my VPS.

I'd appreciate feedback on load times from other KH users.

Very slow from south eastern Australia, about 20 seconds or more before the page starts coming up.

14 seconds from Southern California, with the red x's for the images. Pages within the site loaded within a couple seconds.

Thanks everyone. It's 20+ seconds for me. The red x's are because I'm using this site as a 'staging' site for a school that I'm going to be developing a site for using this template and Joomla! and I haven't uploaded the images I plan on using.

I've got a few screen captures of top, ps-aux, etc. that I think I'll send to support. Looks like SpamAssain is eating up memory but I'm not sure if that would be the cause of the slow page load.

Thanks again. I'll post back if I ever figure it out.

    Now its fine

All it took was an email to KH support and my server decided to heal itself. Loads faster than ever before!

I don't think I'll be breaking any rules by posting a link provided by Chris that others may find useful if they think their sites are loading slowly:

In addition, you can also use the below. I use both Alertra and Hyperspin to do instant checks to identify such problems. Both together should cover a wide range.
