Hello All,

I can not seem to figure out how to find the httpd.conf file so I can modify it. I have tried everything I can think of to find httpd.conf but i am at a complete loss. anyone know how/where to do this?

Thank You

*PS - always have used shared hosting so completely knew to this.

Hi trixs,

Which control panel are we talking about and what modifications are we talking about making?

Hello,

cPanel is the control panel. The reason I want to edit it is:

Account Creation Status: failed (Sorry, that domain is already setup (remove it from httpd.conf : line 262))

/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf is the location of the file. You'll normally SSH into the server to reach it.

Mine's at /usr/local/apache/conf and that's on a cPanel server.

Trixs, did you create the domain previously and then remove it or have problems with it or something?

You do not have to use ssh keys you can use passwords. You cannot disable passwords either way as KH needs it in order to be able to log in.
