That post is in reference to connecting to your VPS using SSH via a terminal program such as Putty. You would log in using your root password.

You'll connect to your server IP or, if it resolves, your host name. SSH should be configured already and accepting connections on port 2200.

This info should be in your welcome email from KH as well :)

Is there emulation that is more NOOB oriented? Or a more fanciful way to interact with the shell?

Seems to me that there was a post here somewhere about running a GUI on a VPS but I wouldn't recommend doing something like that. You'd be dedicating a lot of your server's resources to it to say nothing about pulling all that data through your internet connection.
