How long takes to restore 10G VPS?

I have asked admin to restore my 10G VPS, it has been over 1 hour already and my site is still down. Is that normal?

Restore time depends on VPS size, number of files stored on the VPS filesystem (and especially within single directory), length of the backup chain to the restore point requested and load on both, backup and production systems as all restores are done with low process and i/o priority to reduce amount of damage CPU and disk I/O intensive restore process would cause to other customers. Every case is unique and not always predictable. One thing I know for sure is that during the backup restore process we won't keep customer's system down more than necessary.
