I have three ip address. The first two are set as my nameservers. The 3rd is used as a dedicated ip address for SSL for a commerce site.
example:
192.168.0.1 = ns1.mysite.com
192.168.0.2 = ns2.mysite.com
192.168.0.3 = https://www.commercesite.com

I have 2 questions that I need help with.
1) When I go to godaddy to create a custom nameserver, should I set both ns1.commercesite.com and ns2.commercesite.com to only 192.168.0.3 or am I suppose to set it to 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2

2)In WHM >> DNS Functions >> Edit DNS Zone, what should the ip address for ns1.commercesite.com. & ns2.commercesite.com. & commercesite.com. set to?
I currently have the above set to ns1=192.168.0.1, ns2=192.168.0.2, site=192.168.0.3.

Thanks.

Hello Joeyluu,

I thought your nameservers were ns1.mysite.com and ns2.mysite.com? You use those nameservers at the registrar for your domains.

You shouldn't have to mess around in the zone file at all. One your nameservers have been set up in WHM (should have prompted you to do this at first log in) then it's all automatic. For the dedicated IP I would think you would just go to "Change site's IP address" and assign it. Haven't had call to do this yet myself so if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will step in to correct me.

Hope that helps

You should set ns1 to 0.1 and ns2 to 0.2.
