Has anyone ever changed the default FTP server?

I heard great things about pureftpd.

Has anyone ever successfully switched the default FTP server included in Plesk to Pureftpd or even any other FTP server for that matter?

I'm not a Plesk user but Cpanel switched everyone over to Pureftpd years ago. Personally I have had absolutely no problems with it and it has a surprisingly small footprint/cpu usage.

cPanel lets you chose which one you want to use, on the same page it also has advantages and disadvantages of both.

Cool - though sadly Plesk does not have that option.

It is not possible to use anything but proftpd with Plesk at this time. Unfortunately Plesk isn't flexible at all.
