Google Apps Cnames?

So I'm not so good with DNS.

I'm editing the DNS settings to try to run Google Apps.

Google said I need to make a cname for any subdomain I'm using (Say, 'docs' as in docs.example.com) and make a cname for it that points to "ghs.google.com"

I've gone into WHM, clicked on Edit DNS Zone, and picked my domain.

I entered, in order:
[docs] [14400] [CNAME] [ghs.google.com]

docs.example.com won't ping... nor does it forward to google.

What am I doing wrong?

TVallier,

Just a wild guess - make sure you have "." after "ghs.google.com" entry. In other words your cname record should look like:

docs 14400 IN CNAME ghs.google.com.

Hey Paul,

Was definitely missing the trailing dot.

I'll edit that, wait for the DNS to propagate and report back.

Thanks
