Do I need to worry?

At least twice a day I get an automatic notice that various IPs are on permanent block for trying to do bad things or looking for security holes.

Obviously, since I'm getting notices these bad actors have been stopped, but do I need to add additional security?

Hi Dandello,

It sounds to me like you already have additional security and that it is working just fine

A note about blocking IPs though, you'll want to make sure that they aren't your clients being blocked. Sometimes a password will get forgotten or something.

Most of these are throwing 501 errors and I don't think Mike, Mark and 'fill in the blank' are authorized to access the smtp. (Actually, I KNOW they're not. All the sites on my VPS belong to ME.)

I'll keep checking the logs to keep an eye on what's happening.
