DNS problems with one of my domains?

Over the last 6 months or so, I've been having intermittent problems with one of my domains hosted on my VPS. Every now and then, when trying to browse to the domain, my users get this sort of error:

Firefox can't find the server at www.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com.

    *   Check the address for typing errors such as
          ww.example.com instead of
          www.example.com

    *   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
          connection.

    *   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Browsing to the site by ip.ip.ip.ip/~xxxx gets there fine. All other domains on the VPS aren't affected and if tested at the same time resolve fine.

Is this some sort of DNS problem I am having on my VPS? What can I do to identify the issue?

Anyone got any ideas about this? Hasn't really been happening in the last month, but I'm still curious as to methods of identifying problems.

Hello Tim,

you mean you want to redirect the failing address ww.example.com to www.example.com no?
Ho no I see could you chack your domain there http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=example.com and report the FAIL or WARNING messages. This helps a lot investigation DNS bugs

BTW if DNSStuff is blocking your querie, block cookies and run from http://www.seoconsultants.com/tools/dns/ that will bypass DNSStuff protection.

Sounds like it. Please go to DNSReport and let us know the results. Also, it would be very helpful to know your domain name.
