cpsrvd failed

Hi

Thought I'd ask in here first before bothering one of the techies .

I restarted our VPS as we were having one or two connection problems with the forum and everything seemed to go fine. I checked the server status and it is now showing cpsrvd failed with the red warning light ... but everything seems to be working fine.

Any ideas? Should I be worried? Do I need to do anything or should I just restart the VPS again?

go into shell and do
service cpanel restart

and see if the issue persists

Our VPS appears down atleast the mail server and WHM

If your having issues with your VPS let our Support team know. We aren't having any issues with any of our servers so this must be specific to your VPS.

I get that error message via email every so often.
Also tells me
"cpsrvd failed @ whatever date and time. A restart was attempted automagicly."
Is that a typo?

Yep; cPanel is full of them.

I have heard a friend use that term before, "automagicly", but I'm quite certain its not in the dictionary.
