You can check this by logging into your WordPress admin area, clicking on Pages, and on Posts, and seeing how many of each you have. Then, as a user who is not logged in, try visiting a post, submitting a comment, then logging in as admin, approving the comment and check to see if the comment is appearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t have any posts, but instead have pages, you have two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Change your pages to become posts, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change your pages so they accept comments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"change_pages_to_posts\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"change_pages_to_posts\"><\/span>Change Pages to Posts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A bit of copy, add post and paste, will get your pages moved over to being posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"change_pages_to_accept_comments\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"change_pages_to_accept_comments\"><\/span>Change Pages to Accept Comments<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Although WordPress doesn\u2019t normally accept comments on pages, it can be done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the WP-Admin area, go to pages, then click on one of the pages where you\u2019d like to enable comments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the top right, click Screen Options, then tick the Discussion tickbox. Once updated, you\u2019ll see a discussion box at the bottom of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, just tick the box next to Allow Comments, and click Update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll now be able to accept comments on your existing page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can be done in bulk with the quick editor, once you\u2019ve enabled the discussion tickbox in Screen Options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why_you_can_t_enable_comments_in_wordpress\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"why_you_cant_enable_comments_in_wordpress\"><\/span>Why You Can\u2019t Enable Comments in WordPress?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019re troubleshooting why comments aren\u2019t appearing on posts and you\u2019re convinced it\u2019s not a simple setting in your theme options\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Start by making sure you\u2019ve got comments enabled in WordPress admin settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>  Settings -&gt; Discussion -&gt; Default Post Settings<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Once there, make sure you\u2019ve got the boxes ticked for allowing people to submit comments on posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ve done all these things, but you still can\u2019t see a comment form on post pages?
