[Coming Soon] Client Area Revamp Preview

Awesome work! I especially like being able to have my team have their own logins for support. They use mine now and then I have to worry about my bank accounts and everything else! (j/k, of course).

    WHM OWASP Rules for ModSecurity

Thanks, David. I'll give it a shot.

    WHM OWASP Rules for ModSecurity

So logging in to WHM today we are getting a notice of this new recommended feature. After searching the forums here I came across this post that sounds like it is likely more trouble than it is worth: https://forums.knownhost.com/posts/17797/ Since our only options now are to either accept the...

    Cloud Email Spam Filtering Thoughts?

Thanks for the report, roodude. SpamHero will probably be my go to when the spam issue comes up again. I was finally able to get my most affected customer to move to Google Apps, but it was due to storage constraints rather than spam purposes. That, and some additional account level filters...

    Cloud Email Spam Filtering Thoughts?

Hey Dan, Thanks for the reply. I didn't get the usual email notification (maybe I should check my spam) so I didn't come back to check for a response. I agree with you 100% on spam being a major PITA. I checked out ASSP Deluxe, but it still requires some server load and it didn't look like the...

    Cloud Email Spam Filtering Thoughts?

Hey everyone, TL;DR version: Anyone have any experience/recommendations on cloud spam email filtering providers such as SpamHero or MX Guardian (or others)? We've been battling different issues related to spam depending on the user. Some say we filter too much and some say we don't filter...

    KnownHost and backup question

Thanks, Dan. That's about what I was expecting.

    KnownHost and backup question

I've been looking in to using Amazon S3 as an offsite storage facility especially now that S3 is incorporated in WHM directly, but I can't make out the actual pricing to expect. I think I'd be in the $3/month range based on 100GB of standard storage and daily backups of about 10GB each day...

    POP3 vs. IMAP Recommendations

Amen to all of that! I would never consider Go Daddy for anything but domain registrations and SSL certificates. Google isn't really well suited to web hosting, but the stuff you get from the $5/user/month Apps offering is pretty good. We have 3 full-time people in the company and use Google...

    POP3 vs. IMAP Recommendations

Morning Dan, Thanks for the reply. We first tried the drag and drop instructions with clients (about 2% success) and then found they were a little more successful with Horde fetch (probably 8% success) and ultimately we ended up doing it for the remaining 90%. We didn't have direct access to...

    POP3 vs. IMAP Recommendations

I know pretty much everyone recommends using IMAP. I have always had a love/hate relationship with IMAP. I understand all the benefits, but two big drawbacks that I've seen have always held me back from recommending it exclusively. How do you effectively migrate email to another server or host...

    Considering Switching to KnownHost

We tested Cloudflare after moving to KnownHost and the test site actually slowed down considerably, even from remote locations. The test site was already lightning quick, so we were just getting greedy I guess.

    Considering Switching to KnownHost

Really?! I've never even come close to that long waiting for a response on a ticket. I think the longest I've waited was 7 minutes. Talk about under promise and over deliver... that's on the verge of sandbagging. :D Seriously though, my biggest concern with KH when I was evaluating hosting...

    Considering Switching to KnownHost

We use an independent monitoring system that checks all of our sites every 5 minutes and have had no alerts since switching to KH about 3 months ago. We used to get a couple minutes of downtime every week on just about every site with our previous host.

    Considering Switching to KnownHost

I had the same concern about there not being a phone number when we signed up about a month ago. The longest I've had a ticket sit waiting was 4 minutes. That was on Normal priority (they don't have anything lower). I am moving from Gartner's "leader" in hosting and their "fanatical support."...
