    WP-FFPC is memory only.

Interesting suggestion. I'll test for sure.

PHP-FPM (FastCGI Process Manager) + Wordpress

Thanks for all the help, everyone and Jonathan in particular. Performance is RIDICULOUSLY good. I've been load testing the blog and only when I started blasting 100 clients per second to a single.php for 60 seconds straight, the average response time went up from 108 ms to 2507 ms. That kind...

Please allow me to pick your brain again, Jonathan :) With SSD-2's 2 GB of RAM and a single +-15k pv/day blog seeing occasional traffic spikes of hundreds of simultaneous connections a few times a week, how much memory would you allocate to WordPress, Zend OpCache, MemCached and Nginx microcache?

Any must-do, non-default tweaks with that setup? I know every site is different, but here's a guide that seems to recommend a lot of non-default values: http://danielmiessler.com/blog/ultimate-speed-wordpress-nginx/

Apache 2.4.10 MPM Event (question below) PHP 5.5.17 DSO + mod_ruid2 Zend Opcache Nginx ((http://www.nginxcp.com/) as reverse proxy OK. And any case you can make for adding Memcached, Varnish, and/or mod_pagespeed to the mix?

Thanks. See, I'm torn. Everyone says the same thing: Nginx (& microcaching) + PHP-FPM is the way to go for a high traffic WordPress blog like mine, and of course I only want the very best. So if getting that stack means I have to go unmanaged, that's a deal breaker for me.

Want! Hey Jonathan, my support guy (#493187) is recommending to go back to DSO PHP but that doesn't feel right. Would you mind taking over and setting up that mean combination of yours, please?

Will do. I'm also going to do some load testing first with blitz.io, loadimpact.com and/or blazemeter.com. Meanwhile, any WordPress cache wizards around? Please apply within :)

I'm planning to transfer on a slow traffic day next week, so I'm not hosting anything over here yet. I did a few hours of research, and this article sums up my findings quite well (except I won't need Pound)...

Seems like you guys know what you're talking about! Very honored to be in your company. :) I'm about to move a WordPress blog (simple text and images, no memberships) to KH. It gets about 10-20k pageviews/day, but the challenge is coping with the simultaneous traffic it gets when I plug links...
