Once you have the resources, other areas of your site can be analysed too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To summarize, these are the key findings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Brooklinen was the least accessible website overall<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blenders Eyewear, Cotopaxi, Discogs, eBay, Knix, Macy\u2019s, and Target all scored a perfect 100\/100 on the Google Lighthouse overall scores.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slickdeals was the least accessible website for colour blind users<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Dress Outlet was the least accessible website for partially sighted users<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Samsung were among the least accessible websites for both colour blind and partially sighted users<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Methodology<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We opted to analyse homepages only, as this is and always should be the most important page on any website. However, from the outset, we knew that accessibility should expand beyond just the homepage. So, our rankings may not represent the full picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/web\/tools\/lighthouse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Lighthouse<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wave.webaim.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wave by WebAim<\/a>&nbsp;were used to audit all sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Google Lighthouse score from 0-100 was used to rank sites overall for accessibility on mobile only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To rank sites by their accessibility for colour blind users, colour contrast errors were identified using Wave by WebAim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To rank sites by their accessibility for the partially sighted, all small text alerts were counted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The World Health Organization reveal an estimated 1.3 billion people suffer from disabilities, and over 20 million Americans are living with visual impairments.
