After having been through about every option available for hosting our site, going from virtual to dedicated hosting, we were sick of incompetent hosting companies ruining our site's uptime.

As a debt collection agency, we need 24/24 online presence; we provide our customers -some of the largest companies in Belgium, Europe, with an online interface which allows them to consult the status of their cases around the clock. Downtime means loss of revenue for everyone involved.

My first experience with setting up a website for my speech and debate club began with a different provider and ended in disaster when a technical limitation prevented mediaiki from running on their site, even though they listed mediawiki support in their advertisement.

Those of us in sales/service business so often hear all about how 'terrible' we are and it gets tiresome to hear it again and again.
So this morning, I want to let everyone at KnownHost know just how satisfied I am to be one of your customers.

I reluctantly left Downtown Host to come here, simply because I wanted to get my sites on a VPS, which DTH does not offer. The support and uptime I received from DTH was top-notch and I dreaded the thought of moving to another host and getting marginal or poor service again.

She kept providing answers and even extended a sales offer to me. And if my sites have experienced any downtime at all, I am completely unaware of it happening. My forum members have all been commenting on how much faster pages are loading, since we moved. When they're happy, I'm certainly happy.

I am so impressed with KH. And yes, I am so relieved, all at the same time. KH has made everything so easy on me. And I am getting platinum service at a more than fair price.

Recently I upgraded to a VPS plan and expereienced some problems getting all my domains on-line. Some of these problems were my own "ignorance" about what I had to do and other problems were due to a mistake made during the migration.

"I have just gotten my first VPS also and being the first I have had a lot of question about configuration/best set up.

Hi. I cannot believe the level of service i have recieved. I have used reseller accounts for years but it was time to move to a VPS. after finding the reviews on WHT i tried knownhost.

All i can say is i am not dissapointed.. I was struggling to get the VPS Setup on my own but then a simple e-mail to support and everything was easy. Not only was there help IMMEDIATLY but also good explinations to further increase my own knowledge.

"This is my first VPS (and linux) experience and I have been with KnownHost for a little over 2 weeks. I know that's not a long time, but first impressions do count for a lot. I will update as time goes on.

Ok, first off, presale help was top notch, I was able to ask J on the forums all kinds of questions and he answered them all very well and very quickly. I am completely new to linux and the VPS world. I have a few personal sites running on this VPS, and I know someone will ask, so I got a VPS server so I could run Tomcat and have all the bandwidth and disk space I need. I signed up for their cheapest plan (VPS M Operating System: CentOS 4, Minimum RAM: 128 MB, Burst RAM: 512 MB, CPU: Equal share, Disk space: 7 GB, Monthly Traffic: 100 GB ) and I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and add-on a few more MB of memory for Tomcat, the Java jvm is a hog.

I may be doing things completely wrong when it comes to setting up my VPS, but when I've had problems, I would send a quick email to support and they helped me get going or even made changes to my configuration if needed. The support team is very knowledgeable, and quick to respond and help.

So far, they've helped me get my DNS server up and running, setup a mail server, get apache to redirect port based traffic, and looked over my general configuration to make sure I didn't mess anything up too bad.

As far as setup goes, I ordered late at night and my account was up and running within hours. I have never got disconnected from the server while connected, and the transfer rates are fantastic. They run Virtuozzo and the server that I'm on does not appear to be overloaded and runs smooth and without problems.

Again, I've been there for a couple weeks, but with some hosts I've been able to tell that I was in trouble within 2 weeks of ordering, with these guys I feel very confident that they'll be able to handle any problems that arise and so far I have nothing by praise for the company and their staff.

So, there you go, a little blurb on KnownHost and my thoughts. Figured I would share since sharing is nice."
